If you’re a reader of GeminiGeek’s Online Journal, you may have know of a scammer that tries to scam me into building a website for him for free. Guess what. He called me yesterday! I was so freaking busy with my work and suddenly my mobile rang. The Scammer’s name appears on my handphone. Of course, I answer the phone. And our conversation something goes like this:
Scammer : Oi, you Chan right?
Me : Yeah, why?
Scammer : Yxhxnxs here. What do you want ah?
Me : What do I want? What do you mean?
Scammer : You post my name up on the internet. You’re trying to destroy my name ah? I’m going to report police you know. I’m going to the office to find you now. I know where you work. I’m gonna bring my laptop to show you proof.
Me : What? I thought I have removed your name as you requested?
Scammer : You don’t act stupid lah. What were you thinking ah? You mess with the wrong guy you know? What are you trying to do? What do you want? You fucking mother fucker. What are you trying to do? Why you want to make my name bad ar? You chee bye. Fuck you lah *goes on cursing like no tomorrow*
Me : Listen. *tries to interupt* Listen.
Scammer : Fuck you lah. You mother fucker. *goes on cursing*
Me : Oi! Listen please. I did remove your name from my blog as you requested.
Scammer : Fuck lah, don’t act stupid kid. You try Yahoo! search my name lah, got my name there you fuck. Mother fucker chee bye you. *goes on cursing*
Me : Listen. *tries to interupt again* Listen.
Scammer : Fucker, don’t lie lah you dick. Chee bye you mother fucker. *goes on cursing*
Me : Oi FUCKFACE! *The whole office staff looks at me* You listen to me lah. I already remove your name from my blog. What do you want now? Threatening me with police report. I already do as you want, now what are you trying to do ar?
Scammer : I will go find you. You better stay in the office ah. You don’t act stupid. I am going to make sure your boss know what kind of person you are.
Me : Come lah. I can’t move out of the office. You want to come, you come. You can come meet me anytime.
Scammer : I will go find you.
Me : Ok fine, come lah… *Hangs up*
And that’s when I thought the conversation ends. Another call came. From the same number, from the same guy.
Scammer : You dare hang up my call? Nobody hangs up my call. You fucker. You better clean my name now, or else I’m going to your office and shout. And show your boss what kind of person you are.
Me : Come lah. Like I said, if you want to come to my office find me, go ahead. I am not stopping you, and I am not avoiding you either.
Scammer : You fucker, I am going to punch you ah. I will go to your office. I don’t want my name to appear in search engine as scammer. Fuck you mother fucker.
Me : I already removed your name from my blog, what do you want me to do now?
Scammer : You explain why the search engine still have my name as scammer? Why?
Me : How I know. That time when you email me to remove your name, I did remove as you requested. I don’t want to further prolong this useless dispute. What you want me to do now? I can’t do anything, I don’t own Yahoo! for fuck sake.
Scammer : I want you to delete the post from your blog.
Me : *Thinks for a while*…
Scammer : You better answer me now… You fucker… I don’t want you to mess up my name ah you mother fucker… *goes on cursing*
Me : Fine. Fine. I will remove it. I will remove it, now can I hang up.
Scammer : *Goes on cursing*
Me : Listen *tries to interrupt*. OI!!! Listen to me lah!!! I said I will remove the entry. Ok? Settle?
Scammer : You say remove ah. Now ah. I check in 10 minutes. If still see it, I call you again.
Me : Yeah. Whatever. Fine fine…
Scammer : *Hangs up*
So, there you go. I deleted the entry. Well, I must praise WordPress for being such a great tool when it comes to Search Engine Optimization. I did remove his name from the entry, but I used tagged the entry with his name and the keyword scammer. Search Engines managed to capture the keyword, although there’s NOT even a single word on his name on the entry.
The internet is cool isn’t it?

@clive: I just don’t want to get myself into a legal case for an almost got scammed case. I try to keep this case away from my job, you see. It’ll bring a bad impression to my boss. I still want my current job, and it’s not worth it to put my job at stake for such case.
I am removing that entry temporary. I’ll put it back up when everything starts to cool down. But, I’ll make sure it doesn’t go to search engine while having it in my blog. I am not happy if I just totally remove it and forget about it. Muahahaha
